We live with the National forest on the other side of our back fence.

If I see any Mountain Lions, Bears or Coyotes. I eliminate the threat BEFORE it comes on to our side of the fence.

Just remember to use Sabot rounds.

Here in Alaska, everybody shoots wolves when they see them, patriotic duty. Why are they so protected in lower 48? When the caribou were around, I was seeing wolves almost everyday. I mentioned it to my one buddy and he killed 3 that week from the same spot. 8:00 pm, like clockwork they would come trotting down the center of the road. Our wolves travel big 150 mile circles that takes weeks. When the caribou migration comes through, the wolves follow them and you start seeing wolves all the time for about a month. I had wolves in my garbage cans last winter, they'd come in at 3 am and my house dogs would go nuts. Soon as I set up the game camera, they never came back in. I'm ready this year though, got some bait & trophy cam ready when they show up. My neighbor shot one that was killing his dog 10 yards from his porch. Ole Donny Young once told me they need picts of wolves pulling down moose and wolves in people's yards killing dogs for them to make their point. I'm trying to oblige.

But for all the talk about how protected they are in lower 48, they sure are not protected in Alaska, just too dang many of them.
