That might explain why it appears that some bits were dropped. I thought the letter ended with something like this: "And may I remind all the Congressmen that I have full access to all government records at all levels and worldwide. Congressman XXXXXX (you know who you are), how about that time there were some very embarrassing photos found on your laptop? And Congressman YYYYYY (you know who you are) . . . and you other Congressmen, nothing on you in our files.. yet."

Whoops! Left out the two next paragraphs of the speech. And they’re the most important!
” I would like to thank the Mexican and U.S. experts who have worked so hard on this issue. On our side, Secretary Napolitano and I are committed to putting the resources in place to increase our attack on arms trafficking into Mexico.
Last week, our administration launched a major new effort to break the backs of the cartels. My department is committing 100 new ATF personnel to the Southwest border in the next 100 days to supplement our ongoing Project Gunrunner, DEA is adding 16 new positions on the border, as well as mobile enforcement teams, and the FBI is creating a new intelligence group focusing on kidnapping and extortion. DHS is making similar commitments, as Secretary Napolitano will detail.

Now let’s see if Congress will appologize to Holder or if they will push for an in-depth investigation of the matter and of all those involved.
Don’t forget, Hussein may be involved up to his neck in this mess.

I have no recollection of knowing about Fast and Furious or of hearing its name prior to the public controversy about it. Prior to early 201 1, I certainly never knew about the tactics employed
I have no recollection, Senator!
To: sam_paine
For example, I simply cannot sit idly by as a Majority Member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform suggests, as happened this week, that law enforcement and government employees who devote their lives to protecting our citizens be considered accessories to murder. That's how the ATF field agents saw it, Eric. I think that's where the House Committee got that idea.
Regrettably, its effects will be felt for years to come as weapons that should have been interdicted but were not continue to show up at crime scenes in this country and in Mexico. ...
In the report linked above four ATF agents say there were ordered not to interdict the guns they had under surveillance. They also say they had never done that before in their careers.

AZ sheriffs call for Holder to resign in wake of Fast and Furious
October 7, 2011
Ten Arizona sheriffs today called for the resignation of U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and the Obama administration to appoint a special lawyer to investigate Operation Fast and Furious, a program that allowed thousands of guns to get into the hands of Mexican cartels. Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu, standing with his fellow sheriffs in front ...

He said his office typically receives more than 100 pages of “so-called ‘weekly reports’ that, while addressed to me, actually are provided to and reviewed by” his staff and the deputy attorney general’s staff. He said he does not “and cannot read them cover-to-cover.”
1) He can't read 100 pages a week?!?
2) Okay, suppose he's telling the truth, his staff and the deputy attorney general’s staff read the 100 pages a week, he never saw a thing. How many of the staffers who did read about this corrupt undertaking and never mentioned it to their supervisors have been asked for their resignations?
This excuse is so much nonsense. He needs to resign immediately.
