They only exist today because we didn’t bury guys like Ayers under the prison but their movement did collapse and will again. We just need to make sure we don’t give them the leniency they don’t deserve.
Unfortunately I'm afraid you're wrong about it collapsing again. Because Ayers DID NOT wind up rotting in a jail. In fact he and his fellow travelers took up residency in our education system and we've now had an entire generation educated indoctrinated by him and his ilk. We've had an entire generation of students taught how American Exceptionalism is evil and racist, and how all the troubles of the world have been brought about by America.
