While I would normally agree with you that God has more than one arrow in his quiver, God has also let us eat the fruit of our own choices.
I do hope you are correct, however I do not see that “arrow” anywhere on our horizon and time is getting very short.
We need a charismatic leader who inspires energy in the rank and file. We need a leader who can attack crony capitalism an lead us the right way to correct it. That leader will have to have a consistent record to be able stand before the onslaught of corrupt media.
We had that in only one person I have seen in my lifetime.
Where/Who is this other “arrow”...please?
> Where/Who is this other arrow...please?
You’re still thinking in terms of one person turning everything around. God and good governance almost never works that way. Maybe we lose the presidency, but gain the House and Senate, or we get (ugh) Romney but with a more Conservative Congress that pushes him the right way. Or maybe our federal government gets more wicked but we strengthen our conservative governance at the state and local level.
Despair is never an option and there is more than one way to turn disadvantage to good. I do know that it is folly to place your hope in a single person, because inevitably they’ll disappoint you at some level. This is the problem I most had with folks quadrupling down on Palin as the savior of 2012. As in chess, you never place your hopes in one strategy or idea but have a lot of ideas and contingencies working.
