What keeps them from increasing taxes now?
Nothing keeps them from doing it now, except the makeup of Congress. Which means the super-majority thing is just nice PR. If the Dems retook Congress after the national sales tax passed but before anything else passed, we've now got sales and income taxes, right? What am I missing?
