Christie will support Romney, I imagine. I am sure Cain's social conservatism will play poorly in NE Republican circles, for the most part. We will see.
I am not in favor of adding a sales tax without removing the income tax. Future politicians long after it is instituted will have yet another lever to inch up every few years. You need to get rid of the income tax entirely and replace it with a sales tax, or just institute a flat income tax.

No kidding, in reality you're then stuck with two ever-increasing taxes. Kinda like "trust me, Mr. Reagan, once amnesty is passed we'll work on securing the border."
