It is saddening to witness the crestfallen as they allow their hopes to be dashed.
Sarah Palin would be the FIRST to tell her millions of supporters NOT to give up the fight, but to work to elect conservative candidates who espouse and support REAL American values, to get the RINOs out, and Tea Party candidates IN.
I’m sure that many if not the majority of Sarah’s followers will do exactly that, but there will be a highly vocal minority of misfits, losers and malcontents who will not only refuse to carry the fight to our liberal/left enemies, they will turn on, and bare their yellow fangs at Sarah herself, after singing her praises endlessly, it only demonstrates the emptiness of whatever passes for their souls.

Well said, and worth repeating. Also there are plenty of Palin bashers who are relishing this moment.
I still think Sarah’s great, I love her ideas pretty much across the board. One part of me wants to think she’s less of a fighter than I thought, but on the other hand I respect her right to do what’s best for her family. She is clearly a realist, and it may also be that she realized she’d not win after the constant pounding of negative media, and she did what she thought best for the country and the Republican Party.
Her dropping out has made me that much more determined to work hard on ousting 0 in the next election, and replacing him with a conservative.
