Victory was never possible; there are just things out of reach politically, and this was one. Winning this was as tough as taking a House race in Chicago.
Golden Seal magazine puts out a book on the Mine Wars. It’s a little dry, but a good account.
Do you think the sheeple are blind by choice or by inheritance?
Does West Virgina require a majority to win? Or will there be a runoff.
I'm in the suburbs just outside of DC. If something along the lines of a "collapse" happens, your probably going to be much safer then me in your rural area! If the crap truly hits the fan, you might get a freemail from me as I desperately search for safer pastures ;) If it all goes to hell, DC is going to be a heckuva mess! I can contribute guns, medical supplies, canned foods and general survival gear to the cause! Let's hope it doesn't come to that :)
I get the West Virginia Magazine. Can’t resist the pictures. Ha. I’m out for tonight. God bless and hope you get those repairs done (by someone else).
Simple majority.
Cuz they’re Dadd wuz, o’course!
Cuz they’re Daddy wuz, o’course!
is that the RT-35 to Ohio section? Went thru there back in April and they need to finish upgrading that section so folks here in Virginia can get to Michigan quicker and to help with the truck traffic.
If email is still functioning...yes...send one to me. If there is any way for you to get out of the area you are in, you might consider doing so. The heartland will be the safest imo.
We have acres and acres of woods here. Keeping the ‘mob’ at bay may be a challenge but I’m confident it can be done. My brother and I have already staked out a lonely little house in the middle of nowhere to take our families to if need be.
Of course none of us want a collapse to happen but really, do you see anyone trying to prevent it? Can we continue on this path indefinitely?
I totally agree with your assessment.
In that case, there will be a run-off. Tomblin doesn’t have a majority.
Close but no cigar for Maloney. I hope that in 2012 he tries again for the governorship, or else runs for the Senate against Manchin.
Could you add EPA and endowment for the arts to your tagline?
You could count on me to help keep the mob at bay. That, I'd have no trouble with! I could also bring my extended family if there is room ;)
Hey, since we are on the topic, I've got a book suggestion for you since it is along the same lines of what we are discussing:
One Second After by William R. Forstchen (forward by Newt Gingrich)
http://www.amazon.com/One-Second-After-William-Forstchen/dp/0765317583
A really excellent book about a complete breakdown in society. This one caused by EMP's, but the result is a total collapse and this book focuses on a how a relatively small group of people manage to survive and all the tough choices they have to make. I really makes you realize it is worth having a real skill. If society implodes, marketing managers and advertising execs are going to suddenly find themselves utterly useless and unable to contribute. If you haven't already read it, I strongly encourage you to. It's a fantastic book, has Christian themes, and is very realistic. Every friend I've suggested it to has absolutely loved it!
My bad, a plurality is all that’s needed to win.
Taking in the PPP poll yesterday (yes, I know they’re Dem, but they were spot on in both the Brown-Coakley race and the NY-9 race), Maloney was down by 1, which meant to me that he would lose by about 6,000 votes. While it is sobering to us, it is only cold comfort to the Dems. Remember that in April, the Dem was 33 points ahead of Maloney. To close that big a gap in less than 6 months in a traditionally blue state is a big achievement for Maloney and a red light for the Dems.
They are still very much in trouble with the electorate and if Maloney keeps the momentum up, he’ll cinch the governorship in 2012.
Yes I’m sure you can be counted on. Better pack up and head this way FRiend. :)
Thanks for the recommendation..I’ll check it out
