The Italian stuff that would be hardest for me to get rid of is not olive oil, but pasta. I don’t know why it should be difficult for America to do pasta well, it has the highest technology and farms that are second to none. But the water has less starch in it after Italian pastas are cooked. An obscure brand, Columbia, is about the best I’ve seen for American pastas.

Anyhow, what did America ever do to Italy that it should deserve such Italian raspberries?

What did we do? Hmm. WWII?

Their allies started it so they shouldn't be angry at all.

More likely it's just jealousy as they see all those American dollars fleeing the Italian mattresses to go on deposit back in America where they are safer.

Here's what we did about Italian made pasta a long time ago ~ we got a pasta making machine and learned to make our own! Now we do gluten free stuff.

I’m of Italian descent and still have relatives in Italy that have told me for decades that Italy has a huge socialist, communist and anti American following. This is nothing new.

Try Ron Popeil's Pasta Matic. It comes with an expandable fishing pole.
