Note: When they whistle in Italy, it doesn't mean "Yaaay!" It means "you suck."

This is a very good reason for Americans (and easily mistaken for Canadians) to keep their kids out of Italy.

Don't send these people any more of our money. Buy Spanish olive oil!

I have always very definitely thought she is innocent.

Vergogna, si?

Well, basta!

No DNA, no convict.

“Vergogna”

Oh. It means ‘shame’? I thought it was a new “meat log”. I was getting hungry thinking about it.

I wanna know what kind of people turn out for these court verdicts to protest? No matter what one may think of the accused, or how interested people may be in a trial, to turn out with signs and protest verdicts strikes me as bizarre.

I was watching CBS tonight. They keep running commercials promoting the Dave Letterman show, where Dave has a funny top ten list of things that Amanda thought today. It gives me the creeps that Letterman thinks this is something to laugh about. I understand if there’s a public figure like O.J. or Martha Stewart involved, but here we just have a kid who went to Italy to study.

I have given this trial only very cursory attention, but the one thing I have noticed is that people are absolutely sure she is innocent and people are absolutely sure that she is guilty.

I have no idea, personally.

Guilty or innocent that Knox may have been, the angry reaction of the Italians was just old-fashioned anti-Americanism.

Guilty or not, she had best beat feet out of Italy ASAP. They have no prohibition on double jeopardy and would more than likely try to nail her again. The prosecutor in her case is under investigation for misconduct and other shady practices in evidence handling.

I may biatch and moan about our legal system, but I will never trust my life to any other.

Amanda may be a murderer but she’s OUR murderer.

Poor baby. I hope she gets a generous offer from Larry Flynt for all her suffering, among those savages.

What’s DNA? Judging from its adherents, at sounds like some kind of religion. Related to Scientology, I bet. Or scientific global warming at the very least.

I don’t know nothing. But I’m waiting to learn about the State Dept’s and White House’s part in this “innocence”, not to mention daddy’s money.

(Before you flame your rage, you might want to educate yourself to the fact that there is always State Dept and WH role when it comes to Americans in foreign jails.)

Isn’t this enough to take Italy off the list of American vacation spots?

I guess this makes Amanda Knox Italy’s O.J. Simpson.
