PERUGIA, Italy It was silent in the courtroom for a long time after Amanda Knox, the now-exonerated American woman, was led into an Italian courtroom for the last time. A presiding judge spoke. We heard not a word from the jury. And then she was declared innocenta.
And then anger erupted in the streets outside.
News crews mostly Italians alternated between filming and shouting Vergogna! Vergogna! (Shame! Shame!) for the first five minutes.
A mass of people took up the calls of Shame! outside the courthouse, and in a second gathering area nearby.
Italy's Corriere Della Sera newspaper reported that the angry mob on the streets of Perugia also shouted "Bastards!" and "Bought!"

Yep, sure am, but her roomates said Amanda kept calling her a racist. I wasn’t commenting on the sanity of it.
They don't like to hear this but...Canadians are Americans.
You sound like a Soviet.
Well, I have mixed feelings about this case. I have not looked at it in several years. I was sure of her guilt then, but now, not so much. There’s a lot of conflictig information to say the least floating about.
The OJ defense made a similar case out of bad prosecutor, tainted DNA etc. It seems the way standard liberal defense operates.
I am not a professor but also not as dumb as a box of rocks as you are.
Amanda may be a murderer but she’s OUR murderer.
Poor baby. I hope she gets a generous offer from Larry Flynt for all her suffering, among those savages.
So Guede confessed? Tell us the details please? Actually he still claims he was there, on the potty, with his ipod playing so he heard nothing. He says he did not kill her,,,but he did later hear Amanda arguing with her over Merediths missing money. For bonus points, explain how Guede being convicted at his trial precludes the involvement of Amanda and Rafaele.
There is no confession exonerating them and you know it.
You aren’t too bright, are you? It’s probably a cultural thing,,,huh?
What’s DNA? Judging from its adherents, at sounds like some kind of religion. Related to Scientology, I bet. Or scientific global warming at the very least.
You sir, are a loser. In every sense of the word.
It’s interesting that you’ve totally bought into the prosecutor’s theory that she was some kind of uber-whore, and is thus guilty of whatever they want to say she’s guilty of.
OMG! Basing an opinion on the state where she lived. Well one day DR may have that same mindset sitting on a jury judging him or a family member as sowing and reaping comes to fruition.
Knox, 22, and her former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, 25, were convicted of the murder of Meredith Kercher, along with a third man, Rudy Guede. Sollecito's attorneys, in conducting their own investigation, have interviewed a former cellmate of Rudy Guede.
Guede, 23, allegedly admitted to his cellmate that Amanda and Raffaele were not with him when Meredith Kercher was murdered.
Rudy Guede in his own trial had told the court that both Amanda and Raffaele were there and participated in the murder of the 21-year-old British student.
In the dramatic new statement Guede's cellmate claims that Rudy Guede told him there was another person with him but it was not Amanda or Raffaele.
The cellmate's testimony was videotaped and submitted to the prosecutor's office in Perugia.
Valter Biscotti, a lawyer for Rudy Guede, however, points out: "My client has never mentioned this aspect of the story."
Knox is currently serving a 26-year sentence. Sollecito is serving 25. Guede is serving 16. All three are appealing their convictions.

I’m thinking he’s a troll.
And as i go to bed, im going to look on the bright side.
At least since she’s been locked up for that time, we can be fairly sure she isn’t responsible for all those severed feet in shoes, washing up on those beaches up there near Seattle!
Sounds about right and a obsessed one at that - lots of vileness.
If born and raised in Boston and spending the last 20 years in Ohio makes me a foreigner, well you just roll with that, Slick.
