You should never respond to a story in which you don’t know the facts. It makes the person look stupid. Republicans should always know that the MSM is going to make stuff up to make us look bad.

BS! Cain said it was insensitive and qualified it by wondering when it was covered over.

Cain will probably be upset over this smear by the media and the fact they used him to promote it.

This was not an attack by Cain on Perry. It was a smear on Perry by the MSM.

“Cain will probably be upset over this smear by the media and the fact they used him to promote it.”

Yeah, when is he going to be upset? Next week? Next Month? After Perry wins the nomination? If Herman Cain is upset his grovelling apology is way, way overdue. More likely he isn't upset at all, just wondering whether his race baiting hurts him more than Perry or vice versa.

“This was not an attack by Cain on Perry. It was a smear on Perry by the MSM.”

It was an MSM smear Cain chose to abet for his own purposes. There is just no way to deflect the blame here. The WaPo was trying to reprise their “macaca” triumph and Cain decided to help them in the delusional belief that it could do him some good.

Cain never had a chance. This incident just helps to illustrate why. He's a small time player in a big time game and the sooner he gets off the stage the better. He'll spare himself and his supporters a lot of embarrassment.
