Conservative voters will find Chris Christie too liberal and liberal voters will find Chris Christie too conservative. That is the way of the world.

I think you've probably nailed the basic problem for Christie as a candidate in this Presidential election. It might not have been so in a different era, but right now the place he occupies - someplace in the middle - is like walking down the double-yellow: you do it, and you become roadkill.

Christie isn’t even in the middle.

He’s to the left of any other GOP candidate running.

Pro-Muslim

Pro-illegals

Pro-global warming

Anti-drilling offshore

Anti-gun

Anti-First Amendment

Trying to be all things to all people obviously doesn’t work. That our governor hasn’t figured that out by now could be a glimpse of his lack of savvy.
