Here's something I bet you don't want everyone to know...
If you are a young LDS man who is contemplating serving a mission I can only advise you to follow the example set by the Brethren. Not ONE of the members of the First Presidency (of the mormon church) served the standard full-time mission as a young man. Second Counselor Dieter F. Uchtdorf didn't, First Counselor Henry B. Eyring didn't, and President Thomas S. Monson, Prophet, Seer and Revelator didn't. Follow their example and get an education instead. See how well it worked out for them?
To all Mormons engaging in debate here. This is a perfect example of why it serves absolutely no purpose to debate these people. They have so much hatred for the LDS faith that they will engage in tactics that are downright shameful.
These are the same people that decry Mitt and his sons serving a mission instead of joining the military, then flip it and decry Tomas S. Monson for joining the Navy instead of serving a mission, and ignore the fact he was a Mission President at age 27.
Similarly, P. Ering served 2 years in the Air Force stationed in Albuquerque and P. Uchtdorf joined the W. German Air Force in his late teens as well.
Further, the Church didn't have a policy of every worthy young man serving a mission until the mid 60’s.
PLEASE... Don't bother engaging with those people and their tactics. Let your light shine as an alternative. To quote Shakespeare... Truth will out...
