I think syria had the largest “fleet” of tanks in the world at one time. I think iraq did too, for a period. I thought turkey had the largest infantry at one time...probably surpassed by china or north korea or pakistan
now.
The question was mechanized army, not really main battle tanks.
I suppose this would include artillery pieces, armored personal carriers etc...
