Cain's viability as a candidate is beside the point. The MSM has designated him as the token race expert on all things Republican. If Cain declares Perry guilty of a race crime...well...perception becomes reality.

Anything less than an aggressive defense of Perry by Cain will be seen as a wink and a nod to the race-baiters.
