My idea is that the sexuality of the individual in the military should be irrelevant. Do not celebrate or denigrate. It is a personal thing and the business of nobody else, just get in their and destroy those who seek to harm your country-men.

(That actually happened on a Navy cruiser, the Worcester, in the 1950's, in a notorious detailers' scandal, in which queer detailers got together and started assiging men to the USS Worcester on the basis of what their "gaydar" told them about the Navymen whose files they were handling for PCS assignments. The offending detailers wound up in a naval prison, guarded by unsympathetic Marines.)
