Obama: Commander in chief must back gay troops
CBS News / The Associated Press ^ | October 1, 2011

President Barack Obama sharply rebuked his Republican rivals Saturday, saying anyone who wants to be commander in chief must support the entire U.S. military, including gay service members.

A combative Obama criticized Republican presidential candidates for staying silent when the crowd at a recent debate booed a gay soldier who asked a question of the contenders via videotape.

"You want to be commander in chief? You can start by standing up for the men and women who wear the uniform of the United States, even when it's not politically convenient," Obama said during remarks at the annual dinner of the Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest gay rights organization.

Referencing the boos at the Sept. 22 Republican debate, he said: "We don't believe in standing silent when that happens."

Obama touted his administration's efforts to repeal the military's ban on openly gay service members, as well as his orders to the Justice Department to stop enforcing a law defining marriage as between one man and one woman...

“There are quite a few sources which detail that the effectiveness of militaries that allow openly gay people to serve has not been diminished:”

You have listed a) an opinion piece and b) “research” from a gay advocacy group...

Here is what Palm says about itself:

“For the past decade, the Palm Center’s research on sexual minorities in the military has been published in leading social scientific journals.”

I’ve been in the military and I’ve seen first hand that:

1) most gays are outed due to their inability to perform infantry functions
2) once outed they are shown the door by de facto tradition
3) if they fool people and make leadership positions, they often make emotional prissy decisions which lead to the homosexual losing credibility. The small squad loses unit cohesion and it fails to perform well, leading to failure of the homo leader.

Take your homo agenda of perversion and stuff it up your libertine glory area. You care about your own selfish agenda and not about the effectiveness of our professional military.

He ignored the 6 articles I posted links to that prove that fags in the military are destructive to morale and cause many problems.

“Heterosexuals dont go around Bragging that they have sex with the opposite sex,”

I don’t know what locker rooms/fraternities you’ve been in but it’s not uncommon talk in most.

Members of the Armed Forces give up much of the liberty and constitutional rights that most of us take as a birthright. They have little in the way of 1st amendment rights, e.g. they cant yell out in the mess hall that Obama is a marxist usurper who will destroy this nation even though that is true. They dont have a right to a safe work environment, or to withdraw their labor arbitrarily, their conduct is largely governed by the UCMJ, rather than the constitution per se. Oddly enough they dont even have the RKBA unless the mission requirers them to.

For all of the history of this country they didnt have the right to profess open homosexuality either, untill a lame duck DemocRAT congress that has been hijacked by the cultural marxist left insisted that this “right” was vital to the continued efficiency of the armed forces of the US.

So for you to assert this issue as a matter of “liberty” reveals your profund misunderstanding of the nature of service in the armed forces.

I pulled an 18 month TOD in Vietnam as an infantry squad leader and a tank commander. I can GUARANTEE you that the men whose primary job it is to close with and destroy the enemy do not want this imposition of the cultural marxist left.

Sadly lj, that is true :/

I still honestly don’t want that cr*p to be within my vision of either me nor my family. What can we do these days? Pretty much, all we can do is stop going to establishments where they hang out.

Every time I see their PDA, I want to kick their teeth in, after I throw up :p

>.<

If I was still in.. I would have definitely quit.

When I was a lower rank (E-3), a Buck Sgt. (E-4) came up to me one night in the NCO Club (we didn’t have an Airman’s Club on that base), put his arm around me and asked me if I would like to have some ‘alone time’.
It was pretty obvious that he was a queer, but he was a favorite with the officers in our squad, so nothing was ever done.

He lost a tooth that night... and he never reported me (striking an NCO) because if he did, I would have probably gotten an Art, 15 but stayed in, while he would have been booted from the service.

I would shoot them if it was legal :/

It's a mental disease and we need leaders to recognize this and stop forcing it on our military services.

A plurality of practicing psychotherapists and psychiatrists still do recognize a large environmental element in homosexuality, despite 40 years of unremitting "essentialist" propaganda coming from the queered-up, politically-controlled Division 44 (gay affairs) of the American Psychological Association, ever since the political coup d'etat engineered by gay shrinks in 1972, who then proceeded to lobby before judges and give "expert testimony" without effective contradiction, before forum-shopped liberal judges. This was all done in support of Lambda Legal's courtroom assault on sodomy laws in the early 1980's, just as AIDS was cranking up to kill about a million of their patients just in the U.S.

Homosexuality is a paraphilia, even if the queers organize some Lysenkoist "medicine" to get it taken out of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual. It's still objectively disordered, and the carriers and avenues of transmission are the homosexual pederasts like Paula Poundstone who sexualize young people to be queer, getting to them while they're still young, knowing that they'll be screwed up -- and therefore available for a gay hump -- for life.

Do I approve of blantant, in your face sexuality (whether it be homo or hetero)..No..But at the risk of being a pollyanna..hate the sin..not the sinner.

They're cranking all this up, lady -- and they've got CrimeThink laws in their kit bag for later. Don't be fooled by their palliative language in this forum -- when they address the courts, they'll want case law, they'll want decrees, they'll want things they can use for courtroom beatdowns like the Southern Poverty Law Center administered to the Klan for years and years. These are not nice people, they are not tolerant people. Please have a cup of coffee and start to recognize their passive-aggressive shtick for what it is.

I liked Mullen's getting right down to Barky's bottom line: "my way or the highway".

Mullen is not going to be kindly remembered, any more than the girlyqueer Wesley Clark that Slick promoted to Army Chief of Stuff -- er, staff, er, the Army. (Can't make it sound good no matter what you do!)

I think Clinton had the most to do with turning the upper ranks of the military into a seraglio of catamites.

Yes indeed - and Clinton’s DADT was meant to be just what it was - a gradual descent into full on faggotry in the military.

Homosexuals in the military is the final straw for me. I am so fed up and disgusted with leftists there is almost nothing more they can do that will make me hate them and their vile agenda more.

Well, of course they claim that fags in the military are fine.

And our interlocutor just happens ..... to have a link at his elbow. In the bulging quotebox arranged by topic .... bet he could whip out Robert Spitzer's article proving the existence of the gay gene -- oh, wait, he didn't !

Ruh-roh.

Kitty time.
