and it has absolutely nothing to do with a 1200 mile long border with Mexico that the federal government will not protect.

Easy for those of us in states thousands of miles from the border to criticize, but we don’t have to deal with the worst of it. The worst and most dangerous part of the trip for illegals is getting across the border into the US. If the TX tuition break were such a magnet, why would they ever leave TX?

Why don't you go and read the actual tuition law. You'll see that under the law illegals "may be eligible for state aid". That's taxpayer money.
