Well, I think they should have been reporting the truth. They got caught with their pants down and now it’s obvious to everyone that they are not the free press our founders envisioned.
The founders envisioned a land with highly partisan press. The notion of "objective reporting" is a lie, a fiction drummed up by the media, in order to give itself more power.
Not that it takes much power to dupe an ignorant public.
