First of all, the dead jihadi wasn't an 'enemy combatant', he was an illegal combatant. No uniform, no identifiable insignia etc. Google LOAC. As such by his actions he is liable for death wherever he is. AlQs can be killed at any time because of their status.

At this point it’s easy to see where the government will turn on us as citizens. Kids in school are being suspended for simply stating their belief that homosexuality is wrong. Town clerks are being fired for not giving marriage licenses to same sex couples

Kids suspended for that should be suing the crap out of the system. Town clerks whose job it is to give out marriage licenses have a duty to give them out if gay marriage is legal in their jurisdiction. It is their job, render to Caesar. If they can't for reason of their conscience, they should quit.

At this point in time we need to uphold the constitution at all costs.
