I think Matthews has some serious mental issues (besides being a liberal on MSNBC). That malaria he got appears to have put him even further over the edge the past few years.

For them to win, or for Schmidt to sandbag Palin?

All this apparently incoherent nonsense is actually not as irrational as it at first appears.
From a left wing perspective, Mac is the ideal candidate: first off he won the primary which the dems and media rooted for.
Then, he completed his task by losing the general.
What's not to love?

Chrissy is a lying bag of bovine processed feed grains. They were rooting for McNutly to LOSE if they were rooting at all.

That’s the truth. Chrissy Matthews and his like in the media were rooting for McCain in the primaries so they could install their hand-picked choice in the general election. They really did like McCain because they knew he was personally uninspiring, despite his military service, and completely beatable even by an anti-American and possibly un-American candidate with no qualifications at all.

I like the fact that Steve Schmidt has found a kindred spirit in Chris Matthews. They seem ideally matched.

Rooting for McCain to lose.

Steve Schmidt has done more to damage conservatives and the country than even that p*ssy Chris Matthews.
