Well, you did it. The Dumborats have been whining about conservatives that were actually hoping and working toward making the economy worse. I always thought it was Obama that was taking the lead, but you come along and prove that there are irrational people in the Republican camp as well. Your comment is the first that I have seen that indicates that they actually wouldn’t hire (in effect hurt their own business) to hurt Obozo’s reelection chances. WE are the economy. I can do business when and where I want.... in as much the "government" will let me. I can still "CHOOSE" whether to work or not work. I can still CHOOSE whether I spend or don't spend..... so far.
The federal government has basically boxed Americans into a corner. Get in debt up to your eyeballs with home, car, student, vacation LOANS and face foreclosure or bankruptcy or work like a little gerbil to pay your taxes. Meanwhile the time you could spend with your family, the money you could send to YOUR charities, the money you could save for YOUR retirement is taken by taxes, laws and regulations.
I CHOOSE to starve them. I'm not giving any more of my time (which is my money) to the government or their parasites. The biggest thing I'm not going to give them is my son. He'll be the first male in 4 generations to NOT serve in the armed forces.
Want to venture a guess? I'll let you know. Cause he comes from a meat eating tradition of guys that like to fight. Especially for our country and it's freedom. He won't fight for a country that belittles his Christian faith, thinks him strange for having weapons in the house and praying before games.... and for having the strange idea that a man that likes to put his mouth where another may voids might not be the best role model for a warrior. I don't have the cash for a lawyer if God forbid he decides to actually kill an enemy combatant and some JAGoff REMF trying to earn his liberal/DOJ brownie points brings him up on charges. I don't like ROE that make hunting our enemies at night and destroying everything and anything that is hostile to us optional because of offending the sensibilities of a mosque. Before you make some silly remark or call me "unpatriotic", I had a nice job description of MOS 0311 (like my dad) to earn money for college.
Had a landscaping service whose boss had an Obama sticker on his truck 1 1/2 years ago. Told him that I had to let him go, because I didn't want to be responsible for any federal or state workers comp/safety regulations...... and because I thought our TOFUS was a douche. Bought an edger and mower, now my daughters and son make some extra cash.
See, I'm helping the economy. Bought a used mower, used trimmer and kept the cash in MY family.
As an aside, the chances of me every buying a GM/Chrysler product are 0%. If I won one for free, I'd take it to the nearest Ford or Toyota dealership and trade it in.
What I'm doing is just hunkering down and saving as much cash on hand as possible, own my home and only have to pay property taxes, utilities, food and miscellaneous to "make my nut". Nothing extra goes out and I'm not going out of my way to help these maggots.
You can chose to do as you want. That's what's so great about our country..... we can chose, huh? Wait till they lower my taxes and I'll spend more. Lower my taxes 10%, well then I've got some more cash to buy stuff. Raise my health insurance premiums and raise my taxes.... don't have money to spend. See it's simple.
You just go ahead and spend, borrow and "help" the economy. I'm the guy in the lawn chair sipping on some iced tea and relaxing right now. I'll make my nut and then I go on vapor lock. do some staycations, hang out with the kids and live my life. I'm not helping them out at all, ever.
