TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran raised the prospect on Tuesday of sending military ships close to the United States' Atlantic coast, in what would be a major escalation of tensions between the long-standing adversaries.
"Like the arrogant powers that are present near our marine borders, we will also have a powerful presence close to American marine borders," the head of the Navy, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said, according to the official IRNA news agency.

Not to worry, our CiC will open a dialog - schedule a sit-down...Ah, yes...a Tea Summit. That will do it.

Better than Googling it...read the book One Second After ...
I've read it and while it is fiction, I don't doubt that's exactly what will happen.

Iranian Navy off the cost of the US? May have to send the EPA out to arrest them if they have non-self contained bathroom facilities on board.

Mac daddy will not even let the USA protect it’s own borders. He has already supplied Mexico’s drug cartel with guns paid for by the America tax payers.

Those Iranian ships would last about 10 minutes in any kind of military action.

And some of us know that
a) a major EMP attack requires more coordination than the Iranians could pull off and
b) what we know about EMPs is based on one incident in Hawaii after a nuclear test in the 50s.
This is not the 50s and the Iranians are not the Soviets.

Probably, :-/
The lefties are co-joining w/ the Islamists. “Take Back Wall Street” and the “Arab Spring” to create unrest here and abroad...then, BAM. Great opportunity for our enemies when we’re stretched so thin.

When I was in the Navy, I often heard “There are 2 kinds of ships, subs and targets”.
Wonder how many subs the iranians have.

we haven’t had any FFGs in the fleet for years. but i agree. and iran has more submarine experience than china has carrier aviation experience.

yes ma’am, I do. In fact, a couple of them with tube type radios. Along with 3000 feet of wire and several months supply of food of water. And plan on one of these:

Don’t want to see it happen but I feel it can happen at any time. Would feel like an idiot if I weren’t prepared. Still working on the long term power production but I have two solar cells that can help me communicate and two Honda generators. Solar powered fuel pump rounds out the preparations for now. Outta money :).
