Border Wars Texas is Ground Zero (update) Texas Border Security Report
Click 2 Houston ^ | 9-26-2011 | Robert Arnold (report:Gen Mccaffery &Major Gen Scales

Posted on 09/26/2011 4:55:21 PM PDT by Marty62

"During the past two years, the state of Texas has become increasingly threatened by the spread of Mexican cartel organized crime," the report concluded.

The report states six of the seven Mexican drug cartels have "command and control" operations in Texas cities.

"Texas has become critical terrain and operational ground zero in the cartel's efforts to expand into the United States," the report stated.

McCaffrey said the cartels are heavily recruiting Texas gang members to help insure the transportation of drugs into the United States and cash from the sale of drugs back into Mexico. McCaffrey said the Texas Department of Public Safety estimates at least 18,000 Texas gang members are already working for the cartels, and the number of prison gangs working with the cartels increased from four to twelve in the last year.

"That is an enemy division inside Texas that is armed and criminal in nature and fueled by drug money," McCaffrey said.

These guys change parties because they can’t win as democrats anymore but not their politics. Being called heartless is what I expect from Deval Patrick.

Name ONE candidate that will do what HAS to be done. Only Perry knows what is going on.

I know there have been several attempts by Gov Perry asking the feds to help with border control, and all have been denied. The state has sent NG troops to assist the feds, but have yet to be reimbursed for a fed mission.

He’s a better CIC than Zero or ANY of the other candidates.

The Texas Rangers lead a cooperative program that brings together a ground, air and
marine assault capability. Ranger Reconnaissance Teams are the tactical combat elements
in the war against narco-terrorists. Each participating federal, state and local agency
voluntarily adds its unique capabilities to the teams. The Texas Highway Patrol acts as an
outer perimeter for the Rangers by funneling traffic toward Ranger border positions.
Tactical contact teams, deploying along the Rio Grande in small, concealed positions, are
able to respond immediately to intelligence from Autonomous Surveillance Platform (ASP)
units, DPS and National Guard surveillance helicopters, as well as calls to UCs from local police or police or citizens. DPS Dive Teams conduct SONAR scans of the Rio Grande and assist in
recovery of vehicles and contraband in splashdown areas.
Resources remain the greatest impediment to the expansion and continued success of the
Rangers’ border war against the cartels. Budget cuts for DHS, its Federal Emergency
Management Agency (FEMA), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Immigration
and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the
United States Coast Guard USCG) have severely constrained the ability of Texas to rely on its
federal partners and their resources to expand border operations.

Yes Perry has sent them the bills.
I guess Abbott will have to sue for non-payment.

What’s Perry’s plan for the illegals already here, all 30+ million of them? So far I’ve heard nothing. Can we expect 4 to 8 more years of begging Congress to give him amnesty disguised as a guest worker program like we did with Bush?

Here is a key extract from the exec summary:

“In effect, the cartels seek to create a “sanitary zone” inside the Texas border — one county deep — that will provide sanctuary from Mexican law enforcement and, at the same time, enable the cartels to transform Texas’ border counties into narcotics transshipment points for continued transport and distribution into the continental United States.”

Perry said he agreed with President Fox’s wish for an open border. That’s all I need to know.

I just wonder how many politicians inside and outside the beltway profit from the drug running.

I have traveled extensively along the border, from Boca Chica beach to El Paso City. It does not feel safe

Of course it's not safe.

This was all predicted and we've been warned repeatedly about this escalating destruction of our borders, our sovereignty, and invasion of our homeland for the past 20+ years. It really ramped up during the Bush years.

The problem is, the violence is no longer isolated to just the border zones.

Thanks to politicians who have betrayed Americans and our sovereignty, the violence extends coast to coast and has for years now.

To the point where credible estimates now have it at 30 to 50 million illegals and their anchor babies, leaving a wake of American victims who've been ran over, shot, stabbed, raped, with fraud totally out of control, leaving our sacred electoral process undermined and compromised.

Did anyone expect the violence along the borders regions to improve after millions of Mexicans became totally emboldened and supported by politicians like Bush?

The Mexicans laugh at us, while at the same time, choking off our entire system at every level.

Dallas Texas, 2006 under Bush.

An example of illegal aliens becoming emboldened during the Bush years?

Above is 500,000 illegals and their supporters marching on Dallas Texas in 2006, during the Bush years, as they made demands and waved foreign flags in our faces.

the number of unauthorized immigrants living in the United States in January 2010 was 10.8 million

Lying doesn’t help your case.

Dude anyone who believes that has been sleeping with Rip Van Winkle, they've been using that number for the last 20 years and no one believes it.

So how about answering the question if you know, it's a fair one since he wants to be president, what's his plan for all the illegals that are here?

Thanks. Skim through the report. Things are getting much worse, faster than anyone imagined. It is an emergency and will lead to very wide scale violence.

Here is another interesting link, tells you what is going on with the drug gangs and cartels here in Bayou City.

http://stophoustongangs.org/default.aspx?menuitemid=756

18, Barrio Azteca, HPL, Houstone, MS13, etc all tied closely to cartels.

The feds decided to play zone defense in TX, and the cartels took over the zone, and have deep penetration everywhere behind it.

This is really scarey:

The human smuggling of undocumented aliens from Mexico,
Central and South America across the southwest Texas border captures much attention from the public and the media.

Three-quarters of all aliens who come into
the U.S. from terrorist countries, mostly the Middle East, are captured in Texas along the U.S.-Mexico border. These are called “undocumented referrals” from “specialinterest
countries” such as Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan and India.
Somali intruders pose a particularly troublesome challenge for Texas law enforcement because they often claim political asylum when apprehended and too often are
released into the general population without proper vetting.
Global intrusions are merely another source of revenue for the cartels that collect fees from smuggling
organizations for their use of cartel-controlled human smuggling routes. But these very special human cargoes are a particularly worrisome and serious threat that may
well translate into a tragic, large-scale attack against American territory in the future.

BTW, thanks for a direct link.

This is what I called the ‘Mecicanization’ phenomenon. The next stage after the damp Americans ‘unarmed invasion’ in which the habits and mores of Mexican government supplants Anglo mores. The local police are terrorized or eventually co-opted by the criminals and more tan just drug trafficking and other types of smuggling become common. Automobiles are rotinely stolen and when you report the theft the police indicate if you call a certain party you might or a fee get your car back. Young woman are grabbed off the streets and either disappear into the brothel archipelago or are raped repeatedly by young thugs who make no effort to hide their identity. Businesses are told that they now have ‘silent partners’ that they have to pay a large cut of all earnings off the top. The police and DA and the rest of government can never ind any of these criminals and eventually all government workers are levied an ‘employment’ tax by these mysterious parties who control everything but always remain technically unknown.

Thanks, I’ll look through it, but just want to say, I am intimately aware of what has and is currently occurring on our borders.

Take care.

I don’t know Perry’s answer to your question, but the real answer, no matter what he says, is that if the crime and violence come with the cartels the way they mix it up in Mexico, we will have a street shooting running gun battle in the USA for years to get them out of here.

Check out this website. This is the way the cartels do business in Mexico. Now they are setting up business here in Texas and elsewhere in the USA. Warning: very graphic, do not click if violent death photos offend you. http://www.borderlandbeat.com/
