Sarah can hand pick the states she wants to win or lose. I doubt she'd be that unconventional. Deciding to sit out an early state's primary would be disastrous. Momentum counts. McCain had the nomination clinched by the end of Feb. 2008, six full months before the Republican nominating convention.
