The Pakistan Govt is defending their Army and the ISI..which is a clear indication that they all know full well that the ISI is tasked with the mission of getting the Taliban back in control in Afghanistan. They are all fighting for the other side. Time we recognized it.

I simply do not understand why we coddle Pakistan. Yes, we need them for operations in Afghanistan, and No, they are not an enemy — but they are not a real friend either.

What does Pakistan fear most? India.

Its time to get closer to India, the world’s largest democracy, who is also fighting radical jihad.

Not.

Pakistan knows the Taliban will be back in power in Afghanistan sooner or later. We know it too. Our liberal state department is duped by the notion that they can create a kinder, gentler Taliban.

It’s the nukes. We are afraid of pissing Pakistan off to the point they ‘lose’ a nuke that somehow ends up in al Qaeda’s hands.

As to their being a friend, as long as we pay for it, same as Saudi Arabia.
Both support terrorists against us , all the while smiling with outstretched hands.
They want arms or money or both.

The entire problem we have with Pak cooperation is the fact that for all our effort, we still transport 80%+ of our war materiel through Pakistan.

Our new supply lines through Russia have not made enough progress.

Pakistan knows that we could airlift everything tomorrow.........but can't afford it this close to the election.

The Paks also know that Obama will not expand the was into Pakistan against the Haqqani's this close to the election.

Did I mention the election?
