My point was that there doesn’t have to be a snipe war between the two camps. Both are good candidates and most of us would be happy with either as our nominee.

I was just adding my point. Palin's kind comments about Cain (and vice-versa) do not represent an endorsement. Perry supporters abused similar comments by Palin about Perry. I hope not to see the same from Cain supporters.
True, it doesn’t have to be a snipe war. But many here consider it attacking a candidate when we are simply examining a candidate’s record and their current plans for the nation. That is not sniping but serious vetting and debate.
ie Examining Herman Cain’s 999 Plan. I was thrilled that he won the Florida poll and until then I have not taken him seriously as a candidate. I’m now vetting him and I do not like his 999 Plan from what I’m seeing. For some, that would constitute “sniping.”
