Yes it is East West it runs diagnonally. From Niagara Falls to Texas and it is an amazing way to see the country, rather than flying over it, or “interstating” it. :)
That’s the truth. We used US62 as our main route for a number of vacations and mini-trips with our kids as they were growing up. Headed northeast from central Ohio, you quickly get to Amish, and old Germanic enclaves. Headed southwest, you can do a a nice tour of old battlegrounds and historic monuments in just a couple of days.
