I hear Cain’s got a 9-9-9 plan and I’m wary of any kind of VAT tax because, did I mention? anytime you get the politicos running stuff it gets messed up....I think I mentioned this. You start putting up a national sales tax, and I know it’s based on elimination of the income tax, soon enough a Dem will get back into power and then we’ll have an income tax AND a VAT tax so Cain’s got some splaining to do.I would add that even if a VAT tax does replace an income tax I would still be against it.
As somebody who has worked hard, saved some money and paid my income taxes for 35 years, a VAT tax would put a higher tax burden on my spending when I retire.
