Well, I'd like to salute them for their courage, but unless they gathered and said 'we are Muslims and we repudiate the koran', it seems like a fairly null event.
Their unholy book is the root of the problem (well, the root of the problem is man's natural depravity, but the koran excites this depraved nature and provides an instruction manual for executing mayhem). But if they repudiate the koran they are no longer Muslims..
So, I apologize because I am sure many of the participants are sincere, but I can't register more than a shoulder shrug given that the root of the problem is not addressed.

Agreed. It seems like these may be folks who were raised in Islam but don’t really believe it like many nominal Christians don’t believe in the Bible and many nominal Jews don’t believe in the Torah.
