Whenever Big Gov’t liberal Republicans (Bushes, Nixon) get labeled “Conservative” it does incalculable damage to the Libertarian-Conservative, small government movement.
Big Government can be likened to a theater for politicians who, in order to keep their lucrative parts in the ongoing performances, will make sure that the theater stays in business so they have a stage to perform on. Many Republicans are creatures of this system and they love performing before an audience. If they didn’t perpetuate this play, what else would those politicians be doing? That is the dirty little secret in Washington: politicians hate the thought of having to work real jobs so they will do or say anything to stay in DC. Unfortunately for the rest of us, Big Government fosters little citizens.
