Unlike Nicole Fabian-Weber, the author of this article, I like Sarah Palin. I’m somewhat ambivalent about Bristol but I have a feeling she’ll be O.K. once she gets past this stage in her life; that of ‘finding herself’, as it were. I state this opinion based on Bristol’s reaction to some homosexual man in a bar that shouted insults at Bristol and included insults to her mother, Sarah Palin. Bristol did the sensible thing, which is to ask this person why he didn’t like Sarah Palin. As expected, he offered more insults (”she’s evil, she lies”) but, when Bristol Palin asked him to give examples, he had absolutely nothing to back up his statements. I would have skipped the gay thing unless the guy volunteered that information but otherwise, Bristol Palin, on camera in a difficult situation, handled herself pretty well. As I stated, I think she’ll be O.K.
I watched the video and I could have sworn that after Bristol asked if he was a homosexual and he replied, "yes", that was when she said, "Is that why you don't like my mother".
I could be wrong but I sort of got the impression the guy did or said something that wasn't picked up on that lead her to asking him if he was a homosexual.
As someone upthread stated, I love that she didn't say "gay" but used the more formal "homosexual".
