Texas passed a law to reward law breakers. It was wrong when the legislooters passed it, and it's wrong now. I can't help that the political class feels the need to kowtow to the illegal lobby, but I will not support it. They should be paying the same rates to go to college as any other foreigner after they get a visa to be in this country legally.

They should be paying the same rates to go to college as any other foreigner after they get a visa to be in this country legally. I believe that the law is equally applied to both legal and illegal aliens. If it discriminates against children of legal aliens, then I would have to disagree with the Texas Dream Act.
If children of foreigners who are here legally are not eligible for the benefits under the dream act, then I will have to change my mind and oppose it.
My understanding, however, is that it gives the in-state tuition to every child that graduates from a Texas High School. If that is the case, then I don't see a problem with it.
But that's just me.
