When Perry encourages illegals to stay, a Texas problem becomes an American Problem. SURP.

I thought they had to have started the process of obtaining their citizenship. Sounds like they're staying one way or the other.

I don't particularly agree with the in-state tuition but I do agree it's a state issue. They obviously consider these kids as residents of their state. They had to have lived there three years AND be in the process of becoming a citizen.

Not like they just jumped out of the back of a pickup.

One point that Perry mentioned last time was that the illegals had to be in the Texas High School system for at least 3 years. The tuition isn't free, it's just the same as other Texas residents.

I don't agree with the policy, but 95% of the Texan Legislator agreed to pass the state law. The question should be what do you do with illegal children already in the system and supported by Fed law. Let the debate begin.

Right, it encourages them to stay hid for 3 years. 3 years and your safe.
