like Perry, but I think he did terrible tonight. He’s a bad debater from what I can see, just can’t defend his positions, can’t finesse his way out of any of his less popular stances, etc. Perry does not seem quick on his feet at all.

Unfortunately, Romney the chameleon continues to do very well in these debates. Tonight, I think Romney won easily.

I agree and I like Perry too. His record is impressive and counts for more than a debate with me. However, truth be told, Newt has won every debate. He is a brilliant guy and it’s a tragedy for all Americans that he shot himself in the foot so bad in his personal life. I hope she was worth it Newt!

Cain is terrific and absolutely belongs in an administration somewhere. His 9/9/9 plan is intriguing but like others have pointed out.... 9/9/9 would become 10/10/10, 11/11/11, adnauseum with the bunch of clowns we have in congress. A balanced budget amendment is our best shot to rein in spending because we can’t seem to elect people that will do it.

Nobody in the media is attacking Romney right now but trust me.... if he becomes the nominee his faith will be front and center for months on end. Right or wrong, I do believe it will hurt him and his record will not stand up to scrutiny very well.

Fox pumping Romney is sickening. Romney is very smart and articulate but his record in office is not impressive.

Perry still looks very stiff and I suspect his back is not feeling too good after standing at the podium. He is definitely not a debate champion and the format is not ideal for him. He is at his best off the cuff in a relaxed format.

Romney saying Rick Perry is not electable on Fox is a joke. We were all saying the same thing about Romney a few months ago. What changed?

ok..

here's the deal.

I am a big Perry supporter, and have been for years... but after watching this tonight ... wow, he just isn't good at debates.

So it's a good thing we are not electing a debate captain!

If debate performance mattered, it would be a two man race between Cain and Newt.

Nothing catastrophic happened tonight, thus Mit and Rick walked in the leaders, and they will walk out the leaders.

I wish ... WISH that Perry had the oratorical skills to slice up Romney and leave him bleeding out ... but that isn't gonna happen. It's a good thing only junkies like us actually watch these debates is all I have to say.

I’ve been a Newt fan for a few years solely because I think he raises the level of debate. I hope he hangs in there, because he is as brilliant of a national politician as we have these days. Every thing he says makes sense. It’s too bad he stumbled so badly when he first announced his candidacy. It was like he was trying to kill his chances, wasn’t it?

I’m sure they will. I hope Romney then brings up Rev. Wright. You would be surprised how many people out there are unaware of the things Obama’s mentor has said.
