hadn’t thought about that - but that should be just cause for serious concern for all right thinking Americans. I hate making laws, but I think Congress needs to put something on the books protecting free speech in the military - be proactive - don’t wait for an incident.

Respectfully, the only hope, in my thinking, is that the commanders with any sense of history at all will enforce DISCIPLINE in the ranks. The military does not operate under civilian standards — that’s why they are who they have been trained to be. As a civilian, I operate under a necessarily different set of standards where the First Amendment indeed applies. Just MHO.
