Great. There’s more revisionist history and lies in those claims than you can shake a stick at. I’ll tell you one thing, though, don’t you dare hoodwink this Tennessean by claiming Gore was a Conservative in 1988. Go look at his ACU record. Whatever claims to moderation were ejected BEFORE he ran for President. Indeed, he LIED like a certain other candidate to our faces about what stances he took even as his voting record betrayed him. You Perrybots have absolutely not one ounce of shame in rewriting the history of your candidate and of reality.

I’m not a Perrybot. I’m just tired of the misinformation and outright lies that some of you perpetuate on these threads.

Gore was conservative by liberal standards not conservative standards. And the ACU rating you keep touting doesn’t represent what you portray it as representing. The 1988 ACU rating is based only on the votes Gore made in 1988 that came before the legislature. It wasn’t a lifetime rating. He had an 84% pro-life rating by pro-life groups back then.

Gore is and always has been a liar. He does what is in his political interest. And in 1988, it was in his political interest to portray himself as a conservative Southern Democrat.

So go back to 1988.

Perry was part of the Democratic Party and trying to find leadership roles.

Gary Hart drops out. Who is left to support?

Michael Dukakis
Jesse Jackson
Dick Gephardt
Paul Simon
or one of several others with little chance for success.

Zell Miller, another conservative democrat, saw the options the same way Perry did. He certainly was one of the more conservative democrats. As did several others.

Perrybots have not an ounce of compunction at blithely rewriting Perry's history.....a history that is totally disconnected from reality.

Shhhhh......we peons are not supposed to notice that.

WORKED SO WELL IN TEXAS Here's the calculated and organized patented Perry MO ----no matter what the polls say, no matter what the headlines are, Perry alone is "the winner," "ahead," "unbeatable," "loudly applauded," "universally praised," etc, etc, etc.

One Perrydactyly posted a FR article that paints Perry as a "favorite" of the Tea Party..... yet it links to an article that says Tea Party leaders are unhappy with Perry. Remember that Perry was loudly booed at the Tea Party Debate on the issue of immigration.

All the Perrydactyl's seem trained in Perry's door-to-door-salesman approach: "say one thing, then do the exact opposite."
