I've always wondered what the poll numbers would be if people didn't have the excuse of saying "Well, she hasn't said she's running so I'm going to answer with one of the announced candidates." I can't help but believe that her numbers would jump significantly over what is currently published, just by announcing... I believe that it would pull strongly from the others.

I can't help but believe that her numbers would jump significantly over what is currently published, just by announcing... I believe that it would pull strongly from the others. 1) The polls this far out are crap, at least the way they're being used. If you disagree, take it up with President Giuliani.
2) That said, remember that Perry was hanging down in the low teens... before he announced and then suddenly shot up. Despite being included as "possible" candidates, it does appear that most folks are reluctant to say they support someone not actively in the race.
