President Obamas smooth path to the Democratic nomination may have gotten rockier Monday, after a group of liberal leaders, including former presidential candidate Ralph Nader, announced plans to challenge the incumbent in primaries next year.
The group said the goal is to offer up a handful of candidates from various fields and areas where the president either has failed to stake out a progressive position or where he has drifted toward the corporatist right.

Ralph Nader got 98,000 votes in FL and kept Al Gore out of the White House. For that, I will be eternally grateful to him.
Obama will not face any credible primary challenger.
Just remember, “The world is good for crony capitalists.”
A VP nominee has to be able to bring VOTES to the ticket. Huntsman would be incapable of brings any other than a trivial amount.
Traditionally sitting presidents are not challenged in primaries. Having primaries will slow the RAT crossovers voting for Romney.
I like the way you think.
Better yet, let’s send Huntsman over to the Dems to run on their ticket.
I’d love to see someone in the next debate make that suggestion.
It’s a stupid plan that shows the exhaustion of the entire liberal / progressive vision. Not one person is willing to stand up and run against him. A bunch of third rate has-beens are calling for a “coalition” of nobodies to run a symbolic campaign.
How utterly typical of the left.
What does Nader, the godfather of the nanny state, have to do with Ron Paul, who wants to abolish it?
You'd have to ask LRon that question, but he sure seems to enjoy building coalitions with the strangest people ...
You have provided zero substantiation for your claims of any affinity between the Nader and Paul. (No, the photos don't prove anything.)
I'll back my claim the your buddie Ralph Nader is hot on Palin, though. Here you go: Nader likes Palin
I call and raise. No pictures.
Dennis Kucinich??? Really???
ugh.
Jack Black ... you are one righteous dude! FReeregards!
