You make it sounds like nonsense; thing is, the nonsense is your own. You had to snip the citation so you could pretend it was just “some guy on the internet”, rather than the actual legal authority that in fact it was. Alas, snipping just means the text will not appear in your post; it doesn’t actually make the facts go away, much as you might wish.
