An administrative law judge I knew who ran several miles every day had a heart attack and died at the age of about 48. He had young kids.

For many, their first heart attack is both the first time they knew they had a problem and the fatal heart attack.

Also, a cub scout leader we knew who was a physician, the only thin one in the bunch, died at my son’s cub scout camp in the pool. Massive heart attack.

The death of anyone at a younger age than expected is tragic. And it does happen. Even to those who live healthy lives. God allows it for His purpose.

I had a granddaughter (by marriage) that died at age 19 in a single car accident. No witnesses. A reason for the crash was never found. She was on her way to my house in her "new" car.

We all deal with hurt and tragedy. It's why we can empathize with others. We know it hurts.
