Not getting the vaccine doesn’t mean they will die from cervical cancer.
Getting the vaccine doesn’t mean they won’t.
The vaccine protects against a very small number of the strains of the disease. The vaccine also only protects against the small number of strains for 4-5 years.
Right now today approx 50% of Americans have HPV. The annual death count is about 4000.
Individuals should read and research this issue for themselves.
Here is a place to start JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association):
The Risks and Benefits of HPV Vaccination

Based on a few of the issues posed and the lack of circumstances that would lead to our daughters exposure at this time, we have chosen to bypass this vaccination. At the point that they can make the educated decision - they will.
The removal of Parental Rights to make a decision via Executive Order is the case in point. Yes - there was an opt-out. However from school district to school district the notification varied. Therefore some parents had no idea that opt-out was even an option.
In reality there are far more important issues to addres - as most FRpers know:
Economy, repeal of certain devastating Legislative processes, and wicker (the last is meant to lighten up the post - no wicker was damaged in the writing of this post.)
That small number is the cause of 70% of cervical cancer.
The vaccine also only protects against the small number of strains for 4-5 years.
The vaccine is proved to provide 5 years of protection. It may provide a lifetime of protection, but we don't know that yet.
Why are you trying to deceive people into thinking this isn't a significant protection? What motivation do you have to do something like that?
Politics are ugly enough without trying to cause people to not get a vaccine that may save their children's lives, or prevent them from becoming sterile.
Yes, like essentially all vaccines, there are risks. People need to be informed and make intelligent decisions about their Health care.
“The vaccine protects against a very small number of the strains of the disease. “
Correction: HPV vaccine protects against the 4 HPV strains that cause 70% of cervical cancers and provides that protection for life for those strains.
“The annual death count is about 4000.” For cervical cancer, correct. there are additional diseases and cancers related to these HPVs as well.

Q6: How effective are the HPV vaccines?
A: Gardasil and Cervarix are highly effective in preventing infection with the types of HPV they target. The vaccines have been shown to provide protection against persistent cervical HPV 16/18 infections for up to 8 years, which is the maximum time of research follow-up thus far. More will be known about the total duration of protection as research continues
I only post this follow up since it is different than the 5 year claim I made earlier. Longer time periods, if they exist, won't be proved until that time has past.
