Washington (CNSNews.com) - Cecilia Munoz, the White House director of intergovernmental affairs, compared the federal crime of being in the country illegally to jaywalking.
"If you were running the police department of any urban area in this country, you would spend more resources going after serious criminals than after jaywalkers. DHS (the Department of Homeland Security) is doing the immigration equivalent of the same thing," Munoz told the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) conference on Monday.
Munoz was referring to the administration's new policy of "prosecutorial discretion," outlined in a June memo from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency, which falls under DHS.
Under the new policy, immigration officials will prioritize deportation orders, acting only on those involving people convicted of serious crimes or those who pose a national security or public safety threat.
The memo also directs ICE agents to consider how long an individual has been in the U.S., whether that person has a spouse or children who are U.S. citizens, and whether that person has a serious criminal record. Crimes victims, witnesses to crimes, or people who are charged with minor traffic violations, would avoid deportation under the ICE guidance.

That equates to the drunk-driver homicides perpetrated by illegals.
I didn’t know that the penalty for jaywalking was 6 months in a federal prison and 2 years for a repeat offense.
Jaywalking is usually considered an “infraction” whereas illegal immigration is a “misdemeanor.”
Hmmmmm.....wonder if Ms. Munoz is here legally.....
Good grief, liberals are so lame-brained.
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
They would be right if we gave jaywalkers food stamps, free medical care, a free education and registered them to vote Democrat.
So, I should look forward to being deported next time I’m caught for jaywalking?
Coming from the maniacal egotists that launch websites/programs to report those that disagree

....and tax evaders are equivelent to murderers.
They pay NO taxes, use untold national resources from parks to healthcare to Headstart, which real US taxpayers are paying for, have no draft obligation, get special privileges from law enforcement (because LE doesn't want to deal with the paperwork), have no auto insurance, use the schools, trash their surroundings, comprise one of the most racist groups on the planet (as in LaRaza!), and do not know how to behave in a civilized world (as in crossing borders with documentation, as the rest of us are obliged to do).
How can any US citizen accept that?
All the while there are six billion people on the planet many of whom want to come legitimately through the front door. All the while unemployment for US citizens is uncomfortably high. All the while the nation of Mexico (source for most illegals) has resources beyond most other nations of the world, yet is a modern tragedy of violence and irresponsibility where the aristocratic elite, e.g. Fox, Calderone, Carlos, campaign to forward their most impoverished on a Neighbor.
How truly sinister are those conspiratorial parties in the United States, the CFR, Hillary, Obama, lobbying cabals, the Democratic left (who want the votes), who are blatantly backstabbing the US citizen?
An illegal alien is an INVADER, nothing less. There is a front door; knock, like any civilized individual.

And selling guns to drug cartels is like operating a lemonade stand without a license. No biggee!
Sounds just like some of the Perry supporters today.

they were just doing the jaywalking Americans were unwilling to do.
I guess! ;-)
