I hope so.

It is customary in Catholic masses to pray for our political leaders, that God will guide and enlighten them. Even in the clinton years, I prayed that God would somehow enlighten him.

I just can’t do it with Obama. Instead, I pray for our COUNTRY, not our current leaders. If any of those leaders can help our country, then that’s as good as praying for them anyway, because God will guide and make use of them.

I think we all need to pray for our country, that God will lead it back to those traditional values that have been so widely forgotten and lost. Nothing else can fix the mess we have gotten into.

Brother, may I suggest that in 0bama's case specific prayer for our political leaders is most necessary? I pray daily for 0bama's repentance and conversion.

"Thy Kingdom come, thy Will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven ..."

"Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you"

"O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell, and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need of thy mercy."

Of course you can. We should pray every day for President Obama:

Psalm 109:8 - "Let his days be few, and let another take his office."
