You mean no one ever admitted it to you?
You realize that it's almost impossible for your assertion to be true, don't you?
I'm not saying anyone you knew ever DID do cocaine, but you simply can't make such a pronouncement in the absence of complete information.
“You realize that it’s almost impossible for your assertion to be true, don’t you?”
No, it is not.
I pointed out that I knew people in school who used drugs, but not in my circle of friends. Can I prove a negative? Of course not. Is it highly likely I am right? Yes. Some of them used drugs before becoming Christians, but not after. These are people I had as room mates, that are still in touch after 30 years, people I deployed with and lived in tents with.
Oddly enough, there is still a large percentage of people who have never used illegal drugs. It is entirely possible to know 50 people, all of whom have never used drugs.
The idea it is impossible is sad. And false. We weirdos do exist, and many of us have each others as friends.
And one of the reasons Palin resonates with many is that she seems a lot like the folks we grew up with and had as friends.
But strangely you can.
I am 73 years old and never knew anyone that used drugs of any kind other than whisky, mostly home made.
I was drugged and rolled on a bar in San Diego, when I was in the Navy, but as far as I know that is the only drug I ever had except sedation for surgery, didn't like any of it.
One should not try to form a world view on their own limited experience good or bad.
