Nationally, it was a good night for Republicans. We picked up NY-9 and NV-2. Sadly, the national tide did not help three Assembly races here. Most commentary on NY-9 by non-New Yorkers will come from people who don’t even know about the assembly races, one of which was in a district that overlaps Turner’s. It’s a shame, because Marco DeSena would have been a good Assemblyman for Queens.
