I grew up and lived in all of those neighborhoods.
Lots of Italians and Irish, law enforcement, firefighters, vets, patriotic everyday hardworking people in all walks of life. Middle class values, lots of religious schools. I went to Mary Queen of Heaven on Avenue M, Lived on E 26th Y&Z in Sheepshead Bay, Owned a home on 19th St in Midwood among religious Jews. They all have the same values.
