I like Cain as a person, he’s well spoken and seems passionate, but he’s going to fix the economy with some kind of 9.99 plan? huh? I’m a reasonably intelligent woman, but if I can’t understand his plan, I suspect many others won’t either.
I can follow his 999 plan. It is fairly simple math.
His plan is not difficult at all. It is a short term Flat Tax that leads into Fair Tax and abolishes the IRS. http://www.hermancain.com/images/economicgrowth.pdf
There’s some good information on Cain’s web site regarding his 9-9-9 plan.

Cain makes a lot of sense on a lot of things but the fatal weakness with his plan is that it permits the federal government to collect BOTH federal income tax AND a federal sales or VAT tax.
Once you allow the politicians to have that second way of collecting taxes the RINOs and Democrats will jack up the rates on both to take far more in tax than they could have otherwise.
That’s how it works in Europe, where they have both national income tax and national VAT tax.
