Did you know that you had to get the governments permission to opt out?
As in:
Parents Rights. The Department of State Health Services will, in order to protect the right of parents to be the final authority on their childrens health care, modify the current process in order to allow parents to submit a request for a conscientious objection affidavit form via the Internet while maintaining privacy safeguards under current law. This executive order supersedes all previous orders on this matter that are in conflict or inconsistent with its terms and this order shall remain in effect and in full force until modified, amended, rescinded, or superseded by me or by a succeeding governor.
Given under my hand this the 2nd day of February, 2007.
I'm sure you'd all be cool with Obamacare if it had an "opt out" where you could "submit a request as a concientious objector" and have the government decide whether your request met their standards.
Right?
From what I have read in other threads, it's not an easy process. Not only do you have to get the form, you must either have a doctor sign it if it's for health reasons or state that it is against your religion. Then, the form has to be notarized. It's still not clear to me how often you have to do it. Only once, once a school year? Every 2 or 3 years?
